How to Redeem

Redemption Instructions:

You can use your Card exclusively at any Walgreens or Duane Reade location to purchase merchandise and services. Walgreens Gift Cards can be used at pharmacy counters, photo kiosks, online at Walgreens.com and through the Walgreens app.

To make purchases at a Walgreens Store via Mobile Redemption:

  • Display your gift card barcode on your mobile device, whether by opening the secure link from the email you received or the app. You may also print your card and present it at the time of payment.
  • The cashier will scan the barcode.

As you use your Card, the balance is reduced by the full amount of each purchase, including taxes, charges, and other fees, if any. You can use your Card to pay the full amount of the purchase and applicable taxes if the balance on the Card is sufficient. You can also make a purchase for an amount greater than the remaining balance by using two payment methods.

To make purchases online at Walgreens.com or in app:

  • During the checkout process, select “Use Walgreens Gift Card”
  • Enter your 19-digit Walgreens card number
  • Enter the 3-digit CVV
  • Enter the amount that you want to apply to your purchase
  • Funds will be held on the card until your order ships or is picked up in-store

To check your balance

Go to https://walgreens.myretailcard.com and enter your Card Number and CVV

Walgreens Gift Card (“Gift Card(s)”) is issued by and solely an obligation of Walgreen Co. (“Issuer”). Gift Card may only be used for purchases of eligible merchandise at participating Walgreens or Duane Read locations in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands or online at Walgreens.com. Limit $500/card and $750 in total per day for gift Card(s) purchased. Gift Cards are not reloadable and may not be redeemed to purchase other Gift Cards, prepaid open loop gift cards, third-party gift cards, or open loop card/banking products.
